  • And seconds after I made this post, someone on Facebook posted another pic of it...he's a pro-choice dinosaur who was counter-protesting some anti-abortioners.

Ok, not exactly tom foolery, but I had nowhere else to post this and I think most people would think that talking about Canadian soccer IS tom foolery, so deal with it  B)

This happened last night and is almost certainly the best goal ever scored by a Canadian soccer player.  At his top speed, Alphonso Davies was running at 37.1 km/h.  In Usain Bolt's world record 100 metre dash his average speed was 37.58 km/h.  He ran 75 metres faster than the Panamanian defender ran 36 metres, while also making an incredible play to keep the ball in bounds, getting it in front of him and continuing on towards goal where he beat another defender and hammered home the goal.  The level of skill he needed for each of those things was other-worldly, but he managed to stitch them all together into a sequence that I don't think we'll ever see again.

Thank you for indulging me, now you can go back to arguing about pineapple on pizza or whatever  :#

Sitting in SFO thinking about what a whirlwind week I’ve had. I have to say, one of the top 3 things I experienced (maybe #1?) was seeing Moulin Rouge live, my first Broadway show. Let me tell you, it was a spectacle in the absolute best way. It’s just over the top beyond. I had an amazing seat down in the orchestra section, and pretty much had the time of my life that night. Posting this in this thread since for the most part, there is a lot of tomfoolery in this show.

  • It's not the Planet of the Apes we need to worry about...the Squirrel uprising is upon us!  This pic was taken today at a park in Toronto.

So today I learned that Hip Hop Shelley from Bob’s Burgers is based on a real person:

  • A guy sitting on the subway platform with 5 cell phones, watching porn on all of them with the volume cranked on each of them while rolling a joint.

That’s objectively great… but can I introduce a worthy competitor for winner of Halloween?

    The man himself…

  • My sister in law brought my niece to work with her today for a school-sponsored 'career day' thing.  My sister in law's work is relatively close to mine.  On Facebook, my sister in law wrote:

"[Niece's name] brought all of her Halloween candy into the office today but no one wants it. What to do?"

To which I replied, "I've got a chocolate craving, if you have any have her run it over to my office!"

Well, at least I THOUGHT I was replying to that post.  It turns out that I actually made the above reply to a girl I went to college with (and haven't really spoken much to since) who had the following status update:

It turns out her daughter broke her ankle while trick or treating.  Luckily I realized what I'd done pretty quickly but I did get a "WTF DUDE?" comment before I was able to delete it.

Kazakhstan made out like bandits, that's a big upgrade for them!  Poor Poland though, it looks like they live in the ocean now :(

so this morning i brushed my teeth, then had a bowl of cereal (shout out Smart Smart Cereal, you're underrated) right after. it was a very unpleasant experience, and it has been bothering me all day :|
  • I woke up this morning and groggily grabbed my phone. I was *thrilled* to see a notification that Bald Move had released a podcast on “The Rocketeer”… a movie I still have a lot of affection for after all these years.

I was thus disappointed when I was starting my workout this afternoon, pulled out my phone, and saw (in the clear light of day) that they had in fact released a podcast on “Rocketman”.
