Mayonnaise can also go to hell. It is insane that it is a default condiment on so many sandwiches and burgers in this country.
Mayo definitely goes on pretty much any cold cut sandwich. Burgers only if it has bacon.
Cold cuts are sliced deli meat, yeah? Like black forest ham or whatever? That’s where you use your mustard! Ham sandwich with Colman’s mustard on fresh bread is the best!
Yea. Deli meats basically. Mustard only goes on like maybe pastrami.

I put mustard on pretty much any sandwich that I’m eating. It’s one of my four essential items to have between the bread. Especially when it comes to a cold cut sandwich.
-type of meat/protein -cheese -lettuce -mustard
I usually have more to go along (pickle, another veggie etc) but those are required for me.

Sandwich requirements if you want the *best* sandwich:
Wheat bread - not super grainy (picking grains/seeds from your teeth is not fun) Mayo Jack cheese -or- cream cheese if you want Sprouts Lettuce (shredded iceberg, never just a single leaf of wilty lettuce) Crispy bacon Avocado Honey roasted turkey Bonus: sliced olives or cucumbers

Stack it like Dagwood and enjoy.
Same but I’m replacing the mayo with mustard. Good call on the lettuce, but I usually stack 4-5 leaves. Although I’m with the shredded lettuce as well. How do you slice the cucumber? Sometimes I’ll stack a bunch of thin pieces but other times I’ll go four thicc slices like a stovetop.

NEVER put mustard on a TBA! It ruins it the whole perfection of the flavor combination!

Cucumbers semi-thin.
I’ll put extra mustard next time I make one just for you

You can have mayo AND mustard on a sandwich =P
My general convention is mustard on the deli meat side, mayo on the veggie side. But clean the mayo knife on the mustard side so you get some co-mingling flavor.
ketchup - In the fridge, because I like it cold, but there's enough vinegar in it to keep it stable well beyond when it would be empty.
mustard - In the fridge. Any kind. Standard, brown, spicy, dijon. Bring it all.
bbq sauce - Depends. Mustard based, and sweet sauces in the fridge. Vinegar based in the pantry.
soy sauce - Ambivalent. It's not gonna go bad.
peanut butter - Neither. Keep it out of my house. (Exception - stored in the pantry in the event I'm planning to make PB Fudge, PB cookies, or other PB based treats.) jelly - 100% fridge. Bread - I don't eat much of this, so I don't buy it often, but usually leave it in the bottom of the pantry if it's purchased, or on the counter in a cake dish if it's fresh baked. Things like leftover rolls and uncooked dough in the freezer.
I’ve always kept my PB in the fridge just because that’s what my family always did and this thread is freaking me out that not one other person does lol
Like, do I just post pics of my sandwich related adventures in both... or is this one of those situations where I have to choose a side? I mean, if its between sandwiches and everything else including sandwiches, I'm still choosing just sandwiches.

yeah good call @freddy, i'd say the sandwich thread for your sandwich adventures. i mean, this thread will eventually get away from sandwiches and jump into something like 'body wash or bar soap?'.

My daughter uses bars because she likes some hippy dippy hemp soap some friend of her (hippy dippy) dad makes and he sends her a box of the stuff every few months. Honestly, I don’t want her in my shower but society frowns on you not letting your kids use the bathroom.
I once went to a strip club in Galveston that had bar soap in the bathroom.
Very on brand for Galveston
Ocean Cabaret. It is literally the grossest building I've ever been in. The best way to describe it is to imagine the grossest bathroom you've ever been in. Now imagine that was the whole building, and it had an even grosser bathroom in it.

“Ocean Cabaret” is fucking hilarious. Like they don’t have a gulf, Yucatán, Cuba and Florida blocking them from an actual ocean.

It gets better. It's technically in Texas City, so there is Galveston blocking it as well.
