the fact that he (Simmons) makes $35.4 a year is going to make it really tough to get him traded. he's like the 2nd #1 overall pick by Philly recently that got into their own heads and forgot how to shoot. trust the process?

The turnaround on how Simmons is viewed is absolutely wild. Last summer he was a pipe dream for half the fan bases and now he's not even worth his contract. I still would love to have him if he could learn to be more aggressive scoring.

would you trade Draymond straight up for him?
  • CJ Mccollum for Ben Simmons. Make it so.

My head says yes but my heart says no. Replacing Draymonds mindset on the court with Simmons even though his skillset is better just sounds like an easy way to a marshmallow soft team that will never outperform their talent level. The core of Steph/Draymond/Klay has been together for 10 years at this point, it's hard to say break it up when Steph is still playing at an MVP level. If they wanted to completely blow it up and trade Steph and focus on developing Wiseman and the new picks then (after they clean up all the riots) sure a 24 year old all NBA defensive player is a good piece for the future Draymond wouldn't be around for anyway.

I genuinely don't know what they should do, but my guess is they keep walking this line of trying to develop picks while trying to keep Steph happy and make playoff runs but that didn't really work this year. They'll never trade Steph unless he forces it for marketing reasons alone, and they're in hard cap hell, so unless someone perfect for their roster becomes available and that team wants Wiggins and some picks they're pretty stuck. Even if Simmons were available for that you still have the problem of nobody other than Steph being able to make a damn basket.

I think the way it works is if they don't get top 4 then they revert to their original spot, so barring some kind of miracle their own pick will be 14.

Really just need that pick to convey this year, that 26% no MN pick and then GSW at 14 is the worst case scenario

I could be talked to into a KP-Simmons trade

that would just suck, but very possible.

Oh boo freakin Hoo. I don’t want to hear it. Drafting 2 HoFs maybe 3. And then getting Durant. You’re done. I’ve made it official.

I’m sitting here realising all you all are fans that had super teams recently. Houston, GSW. Or have won a title recently AND drafted a generational likeable superstar. Dal.

I’ll let you guys figure it out….

Spoiler alert. The pistons are the only cool team. ;)

Cat back in the day was so fun.  We could go Mobley putting a 7’ true center next to Christian Wood at the 4 and go twin towers, but that scares the crap out of me in this modern era. I think we might lean towards Jalen Green.
