what a damn coincidence on this BM Pod. i was channel surfing and saw this was on IFC so i kinda background watched since it has been years since i've watched (i actually saw this in the theater when i was like 14-15 years old with my older cousins in Texas haha). super looking forward to what the fellas have to say about it. esp now that it's fresh on my mind.

maybe i'll channel surf again, stumble onto Donnie Brasco, and will magically find the guys podcasting on it ;)

i'm curious if they bring up how many shots he let out in that subway escalator shoot out. cause that was a lot of shots fired from a handgun, and i didn't see him re-load.

  • It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but I like the movie. Pacino has some good one liners - “You think you’re big time? You’re gonna f***ing die big time!”

My favorite aspect is how they allude to organization and connections, but never explicitly state how it all tied together. Sure, you meet one of his main plugs, and meet the mobsters he works with. You just never quite know who is who and to what level they fit in to his past.

i enjoyed the podcast, but a bit harsh on Sean Penn. i'm not the biggest fan, but comparing him to Pauly Shore is a bit of head scratcher. the guy has been nominated for like 5 Oscars (won 2) and has had some respectable performances. i actually enjoyed his performance in Carlito's Way. he played what he was suppose to play. a wanna be tough guy lawyer with too much money and coke. a complete chicken shit with a cute pistol. pretty sure that's who the lawyer from GTA: Vice City was based on. he also reminded me of Larry from the 3 Stooges with glasses :D
