Should they continue covering the show?

I started thinking today about why the guys wanted to stop covering the show, and I know they just don’t like it anymore. But, what other shows will they cover this fall? I can’t honestly think of any, since stranger things won’t come back until next summer. Does anyone know of any shows? Also, do the guys really have that bad of a time making the podcast, or is it just watching the show two or three times? If it’s the latter, maybe they could just watch it once and make fun of it.

    I think they should cover season 2 of The Deuce - it premieres September 9. By then, Sharp Objects will be done, and the Game of Thrones rewatch will almost be over. Plus, I seem to remember A.Ron expressing regret that he didn't get to cover it last year. Seems like a no-brainer, really, especially compared to slogging through another season of The Walking Dead.

    Agree on The Deuce. AHS is more fun than TWD. Maniac on Netflix might be interesting with a great cast and Cary Fukunaga directing. The Man In The High Castle on Amazon. American Gods may be back early next year. 

    There is so much good TV out there.

    Maybe throw out an episode on Bald Move TV commenting on how the season went after each half-season airs? That’d be interesting, but assumes they’ll still be watching at all which I don’t think is a safe assumption.

    I think they are just mentally done with the show. And luckily for a lot of us, they felt the mercy in stopping coverage of the show so we would stop watching. They were the only reason I stayed with it last season after swearing it off many, many times.

    Honestly, I’m just feeling a remorse for buying into the show for so long and not getting what I was promised. So if they were to cover it, I would be more inclined to watch. As appears to now where I only watch to converse with a coworker about it. And we mostly tear into it as well. He keeps telling me that Z nation is more fun, but I got so invested in the characters on Walking dead so I feel committed to seeing their stories end

    @Walnut Frey  It's like ending a toxic affair; you just have to keep telling yourself that you're never going to get what you're looking for out of the relationship.

    To your point, Walnut-- I know that Jim fervently believes that one of the perks of canceling the podcast is that it will dissuade Bald Move fans from watching what has become an awful show.

    Plenty of tv this fall that I'd rather hear about instead of TWD. Specially I'm looking forward to:

    The Deuce, The Good Place, It's Always Sunny, Bojack Horseman, Maniac, Jack Ryan (starring Jim Halpert), Kidding (Jim Carrey series on Showtime directed by Michel Gondry).

    I think there's a pretty good chance of that,  and perhaps some Bald Move TV check-ins on Its Always Sunny and BoJack

    We're debating duece and maniac. Cecily is also inexplicably lobbying for us to do AHS again. Don't tell anyone, but we're half way through season 1....

    Hmmmm it would be interesting to get both of your thoughts on the seasons not covered by the casts thus far ala GoT (overall possibly not episode, by episode).

    A.Ron is finally watching Murder House. Best news all day!

    I didn't realize that you all were considering not doing AHS this season. That's my wife's favorite Bald Move podcast by a mile, mostly because of the dynamic between Aron and Cecily.

    Agreed - I really enjoyed their Penny Dreadful 'cast as well.

    My ultimate hope is for The Wire, but fear that there isn’t the audience needed. A.Ron is a fan of Tom Clancy, so maybe the new Jack Ryan reboot on Amazon?
