Yes she did. She's also directing the finale this season.

  • Wow I was not expecting that last scene. The Empire Strikes back I guess.
I was reading this reddit post on decoherence before the episode and this quote seems particularly relevant.

"The electrons are feeling little pulls and pushes in every direction at a time, and so over time the electrons get pulled out of their specially prepared state. That's decoherence."

Just one measly riot control unit, so I can give this episode only 98 out of 100.
  • I'm starting to feel more and more that this may be the final season. An easy way to end the series is Dolores dies and Maeve gets sent to robot heaven. That pretty much ties up all loose ends.

This episode was amazing. That ending caught both me and my wife off-guard.

  • One of the hosts being made for Maeve has Clementine’s Host ID#, so that leaves one mystery ally that I hope is Armistice.

Yeah, I was pretty sure Maeve was intrigued by someone other than Hector joining the party.

I think you nailed that one. I'm really hoping it's Armistice and I liked the actress that played Clementine in the 1st season. Dolores turned her into a straight zombie the 2nd season so she didn't have much to work with other than effortlessly dragging humans across the desert.

I enjoyed the episode, especially the multiple iterations of William in group therapy led by James Delos. Disappointed I wasn't able to watch live and partake in the instant cast this week. That damn thing called work got in the way. Looking forward to listening to the instant cast tomorrow.

  • So the marble cases are basically indestructible, but you're telling me they get exploded and all the ports still work? Come on Serac, now's not the time to get cheap. Pop that marble in a fresh case.

  • I thought it was obvious but maybe I am missing something but the synthetic protein in Williams blood was the tracker holarus mentioned and she was the one who disabled the reading of it to not show as being there which confirmed to holarus that William was where they sent Bernard.

  • With that ending and her glorious suit cape, I think we're headed for some Darth Hale.

  • Haleoros on the warpath no doubt. This last 15 mins or so saved the ep for me. Only found the Caleb stuff interesting so far this season until now.

    Maeve story bores me.

Yea seemed pretty clear that the injection was a digital exploit and she was using William to hack into a weak point in Insight's system. A meat-based Trojan horse, if you would.

That’s interesting because I feel the exact opposite. Caleb’s minimal dialogue and continuous look of confusion does little for me. I was glad he wasn’t in this episode. I do agree that I don’t want to see Maeve in nazitown one more second. But can’t wait for her to get her team.

And theres no no way Halolores walks out. She was being tracked and yet had all that alone time? And every bullet but two or three missed her. Could no one in the writers room stop the truly ridiculous?

She was being tracked with the same, ahem, ruthless efficiency that Dolores is being tracked.  Humans shoot like Stormtroopers in Delos facilities, it's the law.

Beggers can't be choosers. It's more than Ghost got in the last 4 seasons of GoT.

  • Two thoughts.

    1) As Holores crawled out from the wreckage, I said out loud my to empty apartment, "Man, Aron is going to go nuts on this."

    2) If they got Hector's body out of cold storage, why are they printing him a new body? Did they just take the marble and leave his body behind? How did they get the marble from Westworld cold storage to the Delos site in San Fran so quickly?

And I also wonder why Delos in San Fran couldn't just make a new pearl? Or maybe they did and cold storage had to get the pearl to copy it? I feel like if you're going to have a facility that can make the body, they would also have the capacity to make the brain.

Honestly hard to tell at this point if a continuity error is actually a continuity error or “ooh maybe it’s all a simulation” evidence and that’s more than a little frustrating.

  • I'm thinking Dolores has to have a "Ford" moment like when he gave her the choice to kill him or not, thus kickstarting the revolution. It makes sense she would give that opportunity to someone else so that the creation of a new species is based on "real" free will.

However, she also seems to believe in herself being the only one who can get things done (hence the multiple Dolori). Noting that she has said she wouldn't hurt anyone who didn't try to hurt her, perhaps that's the final test for someone (William? Caleb? Maeve?). Maybe the bag the delivery guy handed Caleb at the airport is the erector set Dolores and she's keeping Bernard around to put her back together if shit goes down and she gets killed. Then she returns and lays waste to whomever participated in her assassination. Not sure how free will goes for Bernard goes into that one though :(.

So yeah: it's all a simulation to treat young william's violent tendencies.

  • Does anyone know if the Youtube video comes out at the same time as the podcast? I've been watching a lot of BM stuff there recently but I can't seem to find the S03E06 video
  • Did anyone else notice who the man that was guiding William to his therapy session in the AR simulation was. Was it Major Craddock – actor Jonathan Tucker. The man that William and Lawrence kill in season 2 after William saves Lawrence and his family.
  • how does hale still have eyeballs? i know its TV but there is no way she has eyeballs. even if the concussive force didnt do anything the fire would have burned them out before she could crawl out.

They aren't real eyeballs. I think in season 1 they said they couldn't make eyeballs like they could make the rest of the body.

  • Regarding the presence of Major Craddick in William's simulation - I haven't thought hard enough about the logistics - when and where this is happening - but I think Craddick there because he was an ally of Dolores's, and then we have Bernard show up, who is connected to Dolores as well.  This is fueled by William's mind, and Dolores has been with him since he arrived at this institution.  Of course her allies are hanging out in his subconscious.  Triple mind-fuck when Bernard and Stubbs show up.
