'Nacho's a dead end'??? Ack. Jim, how dare you! Ok, I wasn't able to listen to your podcast for the last episode til just now and between your comments about his fate and today's episode title, feeling very nervous about one of my favorite characters! My only shred of hope is that maybe, just maybe, Mike didn't fully inform Gus of the exact situation, will possibly follow Nacho and Lalo south, end Lalo, send Nacho to the vacuum guy, and tell Gus he killed them both? Ugh, definitely realise the unliklihood of all this, but I'm desperate to believe, at least for the next several hours, that Nacho and his dad get out of this!
On a much more positive note, so glad you've joined the team, Alexis - you're doing an awesome job - love listening to the pair of you!
well....that didn't turn out quite like I thought. Something unforgivable is a stab at Howard? and this is supposed to be like a major plot point for next season? eeeesh that seems shaky at best.

Also, Lalo realized Nacho made it out unscathed and thus guilty in his eyes.

The glance at the liquor glass certainly implies that, I thought maybe there was a possibility that he thought he might have just gotten away, regardless he is super pissed and hes going after everyone he has suspected of lying.
Well then if he thinks Nacho ran away without helping, he'll murder him for that too.
I really thought one of the two of them wouldn't make it out. I gotta give Lalo credit for being a badass but the whole time I was waiting for Nacho to come up from behind him and put one in his brain.
So I’m not sure how I feel. The whole season was fantastic but for some reason this last episode didn’t feel like a season finale. Lalo is definitely a badass, and Nacho is in serious shit. As is Gus. But Kim? I didn’t like this Kim. I need time to process.
was a little annoyed i dipped into this thread when i started watching the ep not knowing there was spoilers. whatever, it was only the season finale of a great season. anyways, yeah i agree with @Teresa from Concord

I always thought it was rule of thumb that specific episode threads were spoilers and were discussion for the episode.
Are we really going to create 2 threads for each episode of TV? I’ve always expected spoilers when I see the episode number and title as the title of the thread.
@Chinaski I'll be honest, when I first came in here last night I had the thought that we should add the spoilers tag on there but I didn't and I apologize. It sucks if something got ruined for you early. You are tempting fate though clicking on an episode thread while watching the episode. Something I've definitely done before and had a similar experience.

No. While it should be a given that spoilers are in an episode thread but whoever makes the thread should probably mark it so.
The rage in Lalo could power a few nuclear reactors. It doesn’t make sense to be afraid for him cause though I know he survives, but I fear for Gus. Lalo has to know he was behind this attempt on his life.
Rhea Seehorn, fucking ice water in the veins. Great set up for the final season.

Hmmm. 4+ years on the threads and every specific episode thread has had spoilers and I’ve always avoided the thread until watched los Anyways I’m not a admin but maybe make an announcement somewhere where everybody sees that they need to put spoilers on any thread created for an episode.
Definitely doesn’t seem to me to be a standard process. Especially for the last 3-4 west world episodes. All of season 4 didn’t have spoiler tags either for BCS.
I'd assume that Lalo is guessing that Gus is responsible for the attempt on his life (especially when you consider that Lalo torched a restaurant of Gus'). And once Lalo looked over at the glass and since he didn't see Nacho's body anywhere, then he assumes that Nacho has betrayed him one way or the other. So unless Nacho can come up with a very convincing story about what happened with him, then have to assume that Lalo is out for his head (and unfortunately, maybe his father's as well).
It's interesting with Nacho. I don't think he really is against Lalo the way he was against Hector. And if anything, Lalo was promoting Nacho so Nacho should be cool with Lalo. But, Gus has leverage over Nacho and if Nacho is exposed, then he's toast. Basically (and especially now), Nacho is in a lose-lose situation.
I don't really get Kim wanting to go full after Howard. Sure, you can be mad at someone, but it seems like she wants to completely ruin him. Funny that even Jimmy was like "he doesn't deserve that'. Kind of opposite from last season where Jimmy is probably now thinking "who the hell is this person".
One thing i'm really curious about, how in the world did Gus get Nacho's phone to momentarily have reception to receive/make a call?
Yeah, the slipping Kimmy thing is a little odd on reflection. Why does she actually hate Howard so much again? She wants to stick Howard because it’s fun, not open a law clinic. She worked her way up from the mail room to become a successful lawyer and she can’t wait another 5 or 10 years to make the big bucks to open her clinic? What about her story tells you she has problems delaying gratification?
Also, if Kim is going to involve herself and on board with Saul on the cartel story, I think there’s little chance she doesn’t get the full story on “My Friend Who Saved Me, the Awesome Sniper.”
To clarify threads going forwards: Spoilers means anything that hasn’t aired on television, if you’re in an Better Call Saul episode discussion thread then I assume you’ve A. Seen the episode, and B. have seen Breaking Bad. If people would like a preview thread for episodes not featuring discussion of said episode then we can do those, just label them “Episode Preview no Discussion” or something. If you’d also like an Episode Discussion thread w/o Breaking Bad knowledge we can also do those with similarly titled threads. However going forward for clarity’s sake (Spoilers) should be used exclusively for threads that feature knowledge about unaired episodes.
This also does not mean Carte Blanche to be assholes about it, if someone hasn’t watched the episode or BB before entering the thread that’s on them but also there’s no reason to be like “well guess what you’re fav character from BCS dies in Breaking Bad hurr hurr”. If it’s relevant to discussion then sure whatever but don’t go intentionally messing with people for no reason.
