Sucks that your guitar was stolen :(

I love the whole line of Mexican Fenders - probably the best value for money when it comes to guitars.
word.  naftacasters are on a short list of all time bang for your buck guitars.  @jleav382 you should! pick it up!

I don't love the colour, but I got it through a series of trades and came relatively cheap to me so I couldn't pass it up.  It originally came with Burstbucker pro pickups, but the previous owner pulled them out and put a pair of Seymour Duncan Slash pickups (I think they sound terrible!) in it so it's not all original.  I'm going to pull those pickups out ASAP and either restore it to original by putting Burstbuckers pros back in it, or maybe put 57 Classics (my favourite LP pickups!) in it.

I am never gonna fucking get my Catalinbread/Moseley Fuzz Rite pedal from a dude in Russia off Reverb. God dang Rona and Russia.
That sucks...will Reverb offer a refund?

I have a new addition to my guitar family...will post a pic soon :)

I'm prepared to go another month with it being tied up before seeing what can be done.  Me and the guy have been talking.  It's out of both our control.  Kinda sucks too cause it was birthday cash my wife gave me to feed my pedal addiction and so I kinda wanted instant gratification and got the exact opposite! haha.  But boo hoo I already have too many fuzz pedals.  But gah dang this one is very different from the others.

Well Mikhail got back with me and said he's looking into where it is.  He said he shipped something around the same time to Germany that just got there.  That's Europe though....

But I'm already on to the next one...did you see the JHS Legends of Fuzz series that was just revealed a few days ago?  Holy crap, I love what Josh does!  I'm already super stoked about his Super Fuzz recreation.  I can justify it as being my only octave fuzz, so...yeah...I don't have a problem!  :D

The new JHS pedals sound great, but I hate that there's a bunch of them and we have to pick just one (well, I guess we don't have to!).  I liked what he did with the Muffaletta - he crammed all (most) of the different Big Muff's into one pedal.

I also don't like the knobs on the top face of the pedal...I have my distortion/fuzz/overdrives on the bottom row of my board and there's no room to have knobs sticking out the top end of it (plus its a pain to adjust!)

Edit: there's room for the knobs, just not room for the knobs and my giant hands.

He did a live Q&A today on YouTube that I watched some of, and someone mentioned adding some of the prized big muffs to the legends of fuzz series and he was like "nah I basically did that already with the Muffaletta."  I didn't realize that the Muffaletta was many Big Muff's in one.  Did we talk about it earlier (?), but I love when he does that like with his Bonzai 9-way.  He packed all the famous Tube Screamer versions over the years into one pedal.

    Knobs up top:
Me and some old mates were talking about that last weekend (their fault for bringing legends of fuzz series to my attention), about the original wedge enclosure with the vintage-style knobs placed up top.  Consensus was it looks cool but not loving the knob placement.  Just a pain on a pedal board and limits where on the chain either top row or bottom row.  Cause you already know you want your fuzz in the front of your chain.  But, doesn't matter I already ordered the Supreme this morning.  This time shipping from within the USA!  About only choosing one....honestly that Smiley with the JHS gated button feature sounds amazing!  But the fuzz face neighborhood is such a crowded neighborhood.  Need to chill. For now. For a while. Need to put myself in a pedal time out.

My kids were watching Totoro so I was earbuddin’ it thru the pocket pod, but this thing smoooooooookes!

I think it’s my favorite fuzz now. Maybe some sort of recency bias but it’s now my favorite. Whole lotta smoke in that ‘Rari.  You can’t be timid with it.  You have to hit it.

To me, that's the most appealing one of the new JHS fuzzes.  If I put together a smaller/portable pedalboard that is just one strip I'd definitely consider this one.

My friend just recently decided that he's going to make his own pedals (from kits) and the first one that he got was a Shin-Ei clone (which is what the Supreme is modeled after).  This isn't his pedal, but it's a demo of the kit that he got:

Cool, yeah the Shin-Ei / Honey "Crying Baby"! That GGG kit looks to be the most popular kit for that clone.  I put a tube screamer in front of it last night.  Still in the honeymoon phase and playing around with it.  Ask your bud how it sounds when he's done.

NERRRRRDS! Bunch of fuckin' gear nerrrds!!

So my Small Stone gave up the ghost and I've always wanted a Mu-Tron Bi-Phase.

Long long longtime bucket list check box.  Problem is, spending $2,000 on a pedal I'm pretty fuckin' sure is an express lane to divorce court so let's not do that.

I found this little puppy who should be making his way to me this weekend:

TonetugaFX The Doctor Modified Mu-Tron Bi-Phase

I'm almost 100% certain this is the build:   https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/duophase/

Hopefully I'll get some Diamond Sea "yoy-yoy" going...
And it's partially Tom Petty's fault (RIP) because his camp recently released a home recording version of You Don't Know How It Feels and the rhythm has a tasty ever so slight treatment of phaser on it that made me sad my Small Stone no longer works...

I don't Understand? I had an apartment fire in the early 90's. I lost multiple Marshall Amps, Peavey Amps, Fender amps. Plus misc. Speaker cabinets. Also, multiple Stratocaster's of various origin and vintage, An original USA Kramer Baretta. a Kramer Night Swan, plus multiple other Acoustics. Let alone all my recording equipment, original recordings that are gone forever, racks of gear, etc, etc. That sucked more than you could imagine. But it didn't stop me from playing. I just had to start small and start growing my collection back up slowly. I will never have as much as I lost, but my passion for playing was never lost. I know feel I actually have a better setup now than I ever did. But it did tale a little while.
If you really like playing, I would go to a Pawn Shop and buy any playable guitar you can afford and keep at it. Meanwhile, slowly build you inventory a little at a time. Depending on your style, you don't really need much these days. It's not like the 80's where you needed tons of gear and huge amps.
You can now get by in most scenarios with a Good tube Amp, Guitar of your choice (Strat or Les Paul Style) and a couple of pedals and you're good to go for 90% of average gigging situations.

I had a similar thing happen with some pickups that I bought from England.  I bought them in early March when Covid was around, but we weren't really sure how serious it was going to be.  Turns out the Royal Mail in the UK and Canada Customs thought that it was going to be serious pretty early on.  My pickups finally arrived/cleared customs about 3 weeks ago.

@CretanBull Nice! So you zig-zagged your way to the LP you ultimately wanted!  The last one was nice but gold top is *Chef's_Kiss*  Like how you're sticking with the zebras.

@OpusWho Pretty strat! I have lace on mine was well.  What's the extra volume knob about or were you just swapping knobs?

@cdrive What we have here is a Clapton Strat with 3 gold lace sensors and a Fishman Piezo VMV Powerbridge (extra knob). This is Pete's Townshend's late 90's setup. With Spurzels and a locked trem. The Fishman and the Mid Boost Third Knob on the Clapton gives it a ton of extra room. Got it in 2007. In a fire I would choose my child...but I would have to think about it. lol....not really.

I got a Fender Dreadnaught I cannot play to save my life. I’m thinking bass is my jam. Went to the Guitar Center the Squier starter pack was 330 or so is this a good deal? Should I go to a Indy store? Thanks for input.
