The Real World season 3 (San Francisco) It's bringing back memories!
haha wow! i totally watched that! Pedro died (RIP ), Puck stayed a dirtbag, Judd became a successful cartoon artist and married Pam, Rachel stayed super conservative and had a million babies with dude from RW Boston, and no idea what happen to the others.
umm yeah.. i may or may not know what happen to Real World world peeps or auditioned for a season at some point in my young ridiculous life

Get out! You auditioned for a season?? When was that??? I need to hear more about this! Ah, how cool would that have been to end up in the house?
I’m on the episode now where Puck has been kicked out and they got a new roommate, Jo, and she has restraining order issues with her ex. Geez, it seems like this season was *so long* ago, and I guess it kinda was... 26 years ago? wow.
haha it was for the New Orleans season at Great America of all places. looking back i'm sooooo glad i didn't come close to even getting a shot. i'll never forget, i was out front of the theater room talking smack about one of the cast members from the previous season that ended up 'interviewing' a handful of us on a panel. i even submitted a head shot . my sister still gives me shit about that day till this day.

Oh, I actually liked him during that season. Too bad he apparently turned out to be so arrogant. And also, "my sister made me!" Ok.
I knocked out the first three episodes of The Vow, a docuseries on HBO about the NXIVM cult. It is some creepy, upsetting shit. I know next to nothing about this, outside of Allison Mack being heavily involved. And boy is she ever. I get the impression that things are just ramping up.
I finished the last three episodes of I'll Be Gone in the Dark, another docuseries on HBO about the Golden State Killer/East Area Rapist. It is more about Patton Oswalt's wife, Michelle McNamara who was sleuthing alongside the police and pretty much broke the case. This one...it was good, but a little unfocused. It couldn't decide whether it wanted to focus on the killer and his crimes, the victims of the crimes, or McNamara. Though I am not sure how different they could have threaded that needle. You kind of can't have one without the other two. If you don't know much about the case and are interested, it is definitely worth a look.
We've been going through the Harry Potter flicks on the weekends over the last few weeks and that has been a lot of fun. We're down to the two Deathly Hollows flicks and then done.
Also, going back through Raising Hope for the first time in a few years and man that show is really fun. I love the Garret Dillahunt/Martha Plimpton coupling. They are so wonderful together. Fantastic show.
@Travis I love Raising Hope, and Martha and Garret really make it. Martha is such an under-rated actress, she is great in everything she does.
i got the entire series on itunes for $12 a couple months back. such a good deal for a great show, i know i just complained about itunes but they have some killer deals on series throughout the year.
I signed up to Amazon Prime while The Boys is on and while I was tooling around seeing what else they had, I stumbled on this gem of a show called Loudermilk. Starring Ron Livingston and Will Sasso, it’s about a cranky jerk who leads a sober living group. It’s super low key and not really any other big names in it (though AHS watchers will recognise Mat Fraser), but it’s surprisingly easy to watch given the subject matter, and I ploughed through two seasons in a few days while I’ve been on holiday.
Just starting Ratched, A show about nurse Ratchet, a prequel to One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest? Looks very AHS especially with Sarah Paulson. On Netflix
Watched the Social Dilemma. Which is scary as shit with what they said about the data they have about you. Like how Long you look at your ex’s pictures..creepy. But then I realise that my phone/technology couldn’t inform me before pre-orders for Xbox when I’m a gamepass holder, play all the time and search for it, didn’t have enough to predict I might want to know that and buy a $600 system?
The Golden Girls. I normally find old 80s (and most 90s) sitcoms unwatchable these days for various reasons, but I’d been through all my other comfort shows and I’m still not ready to get back into drama, so I figured I’d just try it. And I love it. I did watch it back in the day but I just remembered the basics (Dorothy snarky, Rose dumb, Blanche man hungry, etc). Okay, the laugh track can be irritating but it’s nowhere near as bad as current days ones (looking at you Big Bang Theory), and some of it has uncomfortably dated (Dorothy calls Blanche a slut when Blanche tells her that Dorothy’s boyfriend made a pass at her), but overall it’s genuinely funny and quite heart warming. Also, Blanche’s 1980s Florida house with all the cane furniture and palm print fabric is retro-fantastic.
Unpopular opinion: I don’t like Betty White/Rose. I’ve never liked “the dumb one” in TV shows - I always find that type of character tedious.
Pen15 season 2 is just as good if not better than the first. Being the exact age as the actors this show is an insane nostalgia trip. There are so many little details they get exactly right
I'm about to finish Penny Dreadful. About halfway through the final season I started to see the "We were cancelled/we decided to cancel ourselves" signs. I will be sad to see the abrupt end and listen to A.Ron and Cecily's reaction to it, but the journey there was still very good and some of the insanity that's popped up as the end has neared has been entertaining. I'm pretty sure, though, that they didn't go into season three planning on it to be the last.
Edit: Okay, yeah, that was rough. Good thing I waited a few years because at least I can say "Well, at least it wasn't as bad as Game of Thrones."
Also watched The Terror: Infamy. Not as good as the first season and a bit uneven, but it certainly has some heavy moments. There's one in particular featuring a dream sequence with George Takei that hit pretty hard. Anytime a piece of fiction treats WWII as, you know, a war and everything that that entails, it gets my attention.

I finally watched season 1 of The Terror a few weeks ago and it was incredible. It reminded me a lot of The Descent in that the setting provided the horror and it didn't even really need the supernatural threat. I'll have to get around to season 2 at some point.
Just started the Crown (halfway through the first season) and I totally love it. So hard to not keep selecting 'next' and just binge right through. The only downside is I miss Downton Abbey whenever I see the staff.
I guess Bald Move did not cover this show, and it seems the Netflix podcast only starts at episode 3? I will 100% appreciate a correction if this is not the case
I tried starting The Crown last night and it was like watching paint dry.I got through two episodes and couldn’t do anymore.
Anyway, I only really care about Princess Di and I know most of the major points of The Firm’s history already, so I’m just going to pick up the new season.
I find this show very engaging. I love history shows especially twentieth century. I compare the other movies and shows I have seen such as the movie The Queen and the. Masterpiece show Victoria to see a large picture of what drives these people. I also place events against my own life. Such as I remember the trouble with Argentina. I remember that when I was in high school it didn’t seem very popular at the time in the US but Regan was a very strong alise with Thatcher. Anyway I find this to be my favorite Netflix show.
As for this season they grab you hard in the first episode. I’m on episode four and locked in. Spoiler You can have a drinking game based on every time they say golly or gosh. The one thing that bothers me, is how can these people be so cold? Golly!
@kingbee67 I was all ready to love it - I love an old timey period show. But I just found it so slow and dull. Maybe because I already know quite a lot about them so it wasn’t telling me anything new.
I found Downton Abbey a snore, too, so it could just be me.

The podcast "You're Wrong About" just did a 4-part series on Princess Di and it is soooo good!
@Eine Frau 5 part - yes, I know. :-) It’s my favourite podcast. The Princess Di series was great - I can’t get over how her pushing her stepmother down the stairs wasn’t a bigger story in its day!

Who was the cast member?
And also, "my sister made me!" Ok.
I came across this last night. It's...interesting. Their ranking is 'worst to best' but their entire ranking system is a little odd. Check out their top 15. At least 1/3 of them didn't deserve to be ranked up in the higher numbers, but at least they got #1 and #2 right. https://www.buzzfeed.com/jarettwieselman/the-first-decade-of-real-world-houseguests-ranked-from-worst
