What is the preferred casting for the big bad name checked in this episode?
Jason Isaccs or Jon Hamm would be prefect. The first one I listed is probably more attainable, but Hamm hasn't been in anything high profile in a minute so a lead role in a spinoff Disney + show would probably be a good move for him.
Jon Hamm would be interesting, although someone like Zachary Quinto feels slightly more suited, though im not sure he wants to dip into the sci fi world in two franchises

I feel like they will just cast the guy that voiced him in Rebels, Lars Mikkelsen. He is 6’3, a great actor, and already kind of looks like him without adding facial prosthetics. My money is on him.
Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth must be one heck of a martial artist to have come out of that fight with her fingers attached
She’s played by Bruce Lee’s goddaughter so there’s a decent enough chance.
And she was taught by her father Dan Inosanto. He, among a long list of credentials, was the one to first teach Bruce Lee how to use nunchuks. If Martial Arts had a royal family, she would be in it.
But also, Ashoka, just run your lightsabers over the hands of the next person holding a hilt-less weapon. Very hard to keep a hold on it with no fingers.

I think he looks too old and he'd need a hairpiece. I'd take the low hanging fruit and hire Isaacs or Hamm if they would play it, but that is just my opinion.
@Jim Asked on the podcast why Ahsoka didn’t mention Yaddle and it’s because she never met her. The Clone Wars TV show takes place between Attack of the Clones through Revenge of the Sith. Yaddle is off the Jedi Council by the time Attack of the Clones starts, and that’s like 8-10 years after The Phantom Menace where we last see her.
Also, Timothy Zahn wrote a new, canon-recognized Thrawn trilogy (and is currently writing a follow-up trilogy). The original Heir to the Empire trilogy is no longer canon.

The Thrawn reveal is about Ashoka trying to find Ezra right? If they brought Bo Katan and Ashoka to live action, feels like Ezra is going to be right behind them

My guess is yes, also thinking Sabine pops up at some point as well since her story is pretty tightly integrated with the DarkSaber and Ahsoka and Ezra. S02 of The Mandalorian seems to be looking to launch Rebels S05.
Not sure how much runway they have before we start getting close to the timeline of the new movies and have to start awkwardly tying into those events. We're going to start running out of excuses for Luke not to pop up at some point with multiple Jedi/Force users running around.
S04 Rebels spoiler
There is the canon-breaking nuclear-option time travel plot device introduced in Rebels but not sure if Lucasfilm wants to go there even with the option of 'erasing' any future events they don't want anymore
Dave Filoni seems to be slyly giving credence to the theory that this episode of The Mandalorian may take place before the epilogue of Rebels, which makes a ton of sense given the fact that she looks nothing like the way she does when she shows up there.
If they manage to put Luke in there it would be the biggest secret casting since they somehow kept Baby Yoda/Grogu a secret during S1 production.
It is pretty uncanny how much Sebastian Stan and Hamill look alike, and both have totally played into it on social media. Disney seems to have Stan under contract for the next 190 years, so you never know... Here's the other image I saw floating around the last couple days:
The only reason I wouldn't want Luke to show up is that it probably means in a few decades, Grogu is dead. Though I suppose that might be the case for most Jedi and Force potentials that are alive at this point in the timeline, 5 years after ROTJ. Oh, J.J. Why did all of the Jedi have to be dead again?
My problem with Luke being a part of this show is that Star Wars takes place in a galaxy-spanning civilization, and there’s a galaxy’s worth of other stories to tell. I’ve had my fill of the Skywalker Saga.

Rian takes the brunt of all the shit, but the real culprit is J.J. He could have created an exciting new galaxy of possibilities and instead he just completely reset everything RIGHT back to where it was when A New Hope started and told the same damn story all over again. There shouldn’t have even been a First Order, or even fucking stormtroopers.
But JJ being the completely unoriginal hack that he is just could not fathom a Star War without a kid from a desert planet accompanied by a rogue former Imperial learning that they have a connection to the force and having to fight a black-masked villain backed by a mysterious master of the darkside with a planetSSSS destroying super weapon.
Rian Johnson realized this and rightfully shit on JJ’s movie while actually having to take on the responsibility of setting up something new moving forward.
And then we got JJ again, so fuck us I guess. I’m just glad to be done with that era and people who actually give a shit are finally trying to take this in interesting directions.

With the holiday its delayed until this week.
