I changed my basketball answer though - and for the Cotton Bowl one, for some reason in my head I was picturing the Hollywood Bowl. So I deleted that answer & left it blank for now. Does the band still need to be alive? If not, I *might* have an answer.
In one of those periods where Songs:Ohia is speaking to me a little too much. Might be time to up my shrink visits. Hey, maybe if I try it out I'll finally get Beck's Morning Phase.
Also, thanks for posting the live Sloan videos, @cdrive. I'm looking forward to checking them out, I just want to be able to really watch them and we're slammed at work (tax season). Thanks dude!
It's a podcast, but a really interesting one about music so I thought it wouldn't be too inappropriate to drop this in here. Chuck Klosterman and Chris Ryan started this pod recently (exclusive to Spotify) called Music Exists and it's totally good. They chat about concepts from a more "1,000 foot view" perspective. For instance, the first episode was sort of built around the question "What if Creed had come out with the buzz that Radiohead did? Would we experience their music differently?" I love those guys and this is stuff is right in their wheelhouses. Totally recommend it.
The Bernie Bros need to stop it. We all get it and it sucks. I agree that it sucks that the machine is throwing its weight around, but get off the Warren people, quite whining, and maybe try wooing some voters as opposed to shaming and alienating them. All this whining and grievance does Bernie no service.
Also, it was Super Tuesday. Only a small percentage of the delegates were apportioned before yesterday and if Warren had made a better showing things could be different and we didn't know for sure (not to mention that a stronger campaign showing perhaps lends itself to a VP nod). It sucks that I feel the need to justify myself for voting the way that I did.
