A Teachable Moment: Pride Month
Dee said:Honestly, feet are gross. If corporations start vocally supporting feet I’ll be out there marching in the street to protest. And I’ll be wearing sensible shoes.
People who aren’t naturally attracted to feet might be warped into foot-attraction by such a wanton display. What will happen to society? Will everyone turn into a foot fetishist and shoes be banned? It’s a slippery slope indeed. -

A Teachable Moment: Pride Month
What about the annual parades with a bunch of dudes in skirts marching down the street making a racket, frequently under the flag of a foreign nation?
They can call them “kilts” or whatever, but I know a skirt when I see one and I really get angry when society aggrandizes cross-dressers in such a fashion. There are kids at these parades for the love of god, what must be happening to their poor minds?
And don’t even get be started about the near-worship of a foreign flag. They call themselves Americans? Well where I’m from American’s honoring a foreign flag are guilty of treason!

Why Dany did it
The problem with the conclusion, and the last couple of seasons really, is that we need a novelization based on the scripts so we can figure out what they were actually trying to show rather than connecting the dots with various conflicting head cannon.
So this used to be an adaptation from the novels, but now we need a novelization from the TV show (which won’t line up completely from the actual novels when they come out at some point in the future).
