Who else is excited for tomorrow?!

    Can't wait.
  • Should I buy a gaming pc?

I've been building my own computers for over 20 years. The one big advantage is that the games are way cheaper than console games. The other is you'll have access to a larger library of games.

You can even build a mid tier PC and play most games fine. You can also swap out parts when you need, like upgrading your graphics card or throwing in more RAM. I'm a PC games all the way so to me there aren't many cons.

Me too. :( I'm eating peanuts at my desk like some crazy guy wishing there was some Baseball to go with them.
  • Children of Men!!!

    Great cast, loved it!

I agree, I don't think Jasper is his Dad. Julian mentions she is sorry about his Mom, but I took that for sorry for your Mom passing away.

Also, I think the oral thing is more of a tactic of his than anything else. He mentions how the guy's breath stinks and it immediately stops him from talking about how they're going to kill him. He uses it again to deflect attention when the guy tells him it's a non-smoking facility. As soon as he mentions the guy has something in his teeth he forgets all about the cigarettes that Theo puts through the machine. Can you think of a better way to deflect attention than to tell someone they have something stuck in their teeth? It's actually brilliant. I think this is more a way to show you that he is 'suave'. Like how Julian mentioned the time he invited a bunch of Police up to negotiate. He seems to be able to talk and figure his way out of tough situations and I think those two small scenes are good at showing how well he can deflect attention away.

Also, this video is pretty good about explaining some of the stuff in the background.

Alfonso Cuaron is really on the next level in his film making. I really appreciate the techniques he uses. We just got done watching Gravity for the first time, and while I don't think it's nearly as good as Children of Men, it is a visual masterpiece. I really appreciate the film even more now after diving into it again for a second watch (many years later).

    Das Boot Directors Cut

such a good movie. It’s a marathon to watch but worth it. It also made the scene in Beerfest(Super Trooper guys) where the Germans go to America to try and get the beer recipe 100x more hilarious when you realise the father is the captain in Das Boot and they sneak into the beer hall via submarine.

I wish they made more World War 2 movies focused on the European war. I mean we did get Dunkirk and 1917 (not WW2) which had 0 Americans. But I would like some more films focused on Germany. There are a few out there for those interested but they are more Low Budget.

    Land of Mine(English title)
    Stalingrad (1993)
    Come and See

    All highly recommend.

You should add Downfall to the list. If you haven't seen it yet check it out. I thought it was extremely well done and acted.
