What bothers me is the show seems to explore how everyone decides to live with no hope.@Jujee I think the majority of people having no hope is perfectly understandable. How would you have hope if people disappeared right in front of your eyes? How would you have hope if your baby disappeared from inside of you? You have no idea where they went or what happened. I think no hope is the most likely reaction most people would have.
But I also wouldn't say that "everyone decides to live with no hope". Matt has a lot of hope and faith. In the second season, Laurie does as well as she finds a new calling of sorts. Also Nora, with her new baby and them moving to Jarden - but I don't want to spoil season 2. I think you should give it a go. And there will be a lot of crying for sure, at least there was for me!
Yeah, I watched S2E1 last night. I liked it better than most anything in S1. If the same crazy and/or unexplainable things continue to happen with some eventual payoff, I'll say it's an improvement in my eyes. I just don't know how they are going to deal with the time shift or the Smoke Monster. Just kidding
