  • Talk me off the ledge!

Ok, finished the 2nd season.  Some pretty WOW moments. After both seasons, It's one of those shows/movies I've got to digest before figuring out what I think.  I can tell you one thing, I felt exhausted after the final scene.

  • 605 - "THE DOOR" Spoiler thread!

Okay I love the podcast. I have never written in before on the forums. However, after listening to the instant take, and the spoiler free podcast I felt that I needed to write in. I feel like you keep glazing over the discussion with Tyrion, Varys, and the red women.

Okay here is the part I would like your thoughts on....here's the dialogue.
Take what happened to you, Lord Varys, when you were a child.
If not for your mutilation at the hand of a second-rate sorcerer, you wouldn't be here helping the Lord's Chosen bring his light into the world.
    Knowledge has made you powerful.
But there's still so much you don't know.
Do you remember what you heard that night when the sorcerer tossed your parts in the fire? You heard a voice call out from the flames.
Do you remember? Should I tell you what the voice said? Should I tell you the name of the one who spoke? We serve the same queen.
If you are her true friend, you have nothing to fear from me.

As soon has I saw this scene my mind has been racing.
So, I think Varys is sneaky, and up to something. I think that Tyrion thinks they are talking about Danny.
But I think that Varys, and the Red Woman are really talking about someone else.
Notice how she says Do you remember? Should I tell you what the voice said? Should I tell you the name of the one who spoke?.......BUT she never says it, and Varys looks scared, and his mind is racing with 'what do I say if she reveals me?'........I think Varys is really working to get someone else on the Throne.
I would love to hear your discussions on this.

Also on a side note: Are you watching Outlander? You know after listening to you and your son talk about The Goonies, I can't get out of my mind how I would like to hear your girlfriend or wives do a podcast on Outlander. I think y'all are great, but I'm not so sure about listening to the two of you talk about Outlander. I think each of you would be great talking about he history at the time, and what's going on, but the cast would need a ladies mind, and voice to really express the love junk. Anyway just a thought.......Love the shows.
I believe Tyrion knew what the sorceress was describing (scene in the YT vid below), as Varys told Tyrion about that night.  Tyrion even saw the sorcerer that "tossed" Varys's parts in to the fire.  I think Varys was legitimately freaked by the red woman and her knowledge without being there, given how freaked out he was by the voice from the flames in the first place.

A 15-round magazine fits inside the grip.
Yeah, I am very aware of the 33-round magazine, but as I said in my original post, "...that held the 15-20rds she fired at those guys."

Maybe I'm just missing your point, but 15 rounds does fit in a magazine which fits (almost completely) inside the grip, so not sure where the problem comes in.  If she could fit a Glock 18 (without the 33-round magazine or the snail drum) in her sleeve, she can have it loaded with 15 rounds. Double stack magazines can hold more bullets than single stack magazines with which you may be familiar.
You are right about a Glock 18 being the closest weapon that would make sense.  But my original point was two-fold:
    1) I believe she fired 15-20rds from an automatic weapon (I haven't gone back to count). 2) I don't believe her sleeve was big enough in circumference or diameter to hide any type of readily available automatic weapon, regardless of the total magazine capacity.
