This seems crazy to me. I really don't think the hoagies are anything special. Wawa is great cause you can get a decent quick (most times) hoagie for like six bucks (cheaper during Hoagiefest) at a convenience store. But if you go to pretty much any hoagie/pizza shop in the greater Philadelphia area they have fresh Amoroso or Liscio rolls and you can get a much better hoagie for a little more money.

Wawa used to have this and real deli meat years ago. Now they have weird par-baked Amoroso rolls and the deli meat is meh.

The cold open this week bummed me the fuck out. Our minds are fragile and vulnerable and it's kind of terrifying.

@cdrive I've been in a bit of a rut musically lately, man. I think not having many opportunities to drive has curtailed my music intake/choices. Mostly been playing a lot of sad alt-country/folk stuff, Neil Young, early Dylan, John Prine, Townes Van Zandt.

Recently discovered the original version of the Clay Pigeons from Blaze Foley (heard it from Prine before). It's pretty great:

I think the Brazilian connection is the Brazilian movie/series City of God/City of Men. I know I conflated the two for a while and didn't realize until relatively recently this great apocalyptic drama was even a thing.

Stop Making Sense is on Amazon Prime. It's so good. If you like Talking Heads at all, I highly recommend it. They're all so fucking talented.
