  • Merry Covid Christmas 2020!

Oh no, my clutter! Thanks everyone for participating in the Christmas livestream. It was seriously one of the highlights of an otherwise pretty crappy year.
  • Can't Login to the Forums?

Ok, I've got a partial fix / workaround. If you log into the website (not the forums) and then click the "Forums" link in the main nav bar at the top, it will take you to the forums and log you in.

I'm still working on getting the sign in buttons on the forums working and it might be a few days.
  • Scared for my Wife

You can always lean on us. No need to apologize for that. Sounds like she's in good hands with the doctors and you caught it before it became severe. That's good news. I hope she's going to be ok. Let us know how it goes.
  • Under the Radar Science Fiction Movies & TV

I'll third Moon. I loved that movie. Sam Rockwell is great in it.

I remember the first season of Revolution being good but I didn't stick with it. Giancarlo Esposito was what drew me to that one and I think I got disillusioned after I realized he wasn't in it all that much.

I'll also second The Endless. A.Ron and Cecily picked that as one of our "Double Dern" movie nights and I was really impressed.

Travelers on Netflix is a show I haven't seen mentioned yet. I really liked the first season but it got a little too... something for me in the 2nd season and I stopped watching.
  • The Last of Us 2: Spoilers

Just finished the game tonight and I think I came around on playing as Abby by the end. That cognitive dissonance when you're forced to switch to her POV is very much intentional and works on a level that you couldn't achieve in a non-interactive medium. She also had MUCH better set pieces than Ellie. That skyscraper bridge and the burning villages were both fantastic. The game overstayed its point by several hours, imo, but whatever. We're living in a viral dystopia anyway, it's not like I have anywhere to go.
