Theory on Night King -Cersei conclusion.  Going Full Arthas (Blizzard Style).

Night King has died, but Long Night/Winter doesn't end.  Things get worse.  Cersei is defeated by reasons and both Dani and Jon survive and get past the taboo issue. Happy good times?  Nope.  Prophecies are fulfilled by sacrifice.  One must kill the other to end the long night or else one must become a new night king to hold the winter in check behind the wall.  Children created the winter to kill humanity.  The Night King was Azor Ahai who sacrificed himself to contain the winter with help from remorseful Children.  Some heart stabbing sacrifice right there.  First pact failed for reasons, now must be renewed.  Super unlikely but fun to imagine.
